Cargill PLC
Cargill is an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services and is one of the largest grain traders in the UK.
Working on its site in Trafford Park, Manchester, Esprit manage the entire in-take of grain, undertaking the sampling and testing of wheat in one of Europe’s busiest wheat intake by road, which handles up to one hundred lorry loads every day. Cargill have recently acquired the neighbouring Nedalco Ethanol plant where Esprit manage all the UK mainland ethanol deliveries.
We also provide Stevedore services, on-site logistics, goods movement, weighbridge and gate security management, feed storage, handling and loading a further sixty lorries per day, laboratory sampling and testing of all co-products including sample retention of every load. All services provided by us leave Cargill free to concentrate on manufacturing.
AB Agri - KW Alternative Feeds
AB Agri is the largest animal feed manufacturer and supplier in the UK. Esprit manages the AB Agri contract in Manchester handling, storing and loading three hundred thousand tonnes of bulk animal feed per year.
Stock levels and production figures are relayed to aid advanced sales, records maintained, samples retained, sanitising undertaken and vehicles checked prior to loading.
McPherson Ltd
McPherson Ltd is a national haulage company, with its Head Office in Scotland. Having built up its services to include transport, engineering services and haulage training, in more recent years, the company established an operating centre in the North-West of England.
Its Manchester depot, managed by Esprit, is situated on a factory site where glucose, caramel, ethanol and animal feed are produced. Esprit undertake all transport and contract manager duties for McPherson Ltd in Manchester, including recruitment, tachograph/digi-card control, paperwork, compliance, load planning & routing, customer liaison and business development.
Having the entire operation managed by Esprit, gives McPherson a strong foothold within the English logistics market, without the need for additional management. New business opportunities are constantly being sought and negotiated by Esprit to further expand McPherson’s business.
